Capturing the day...

It has taken me all this time to edit the photos from last year's event at home...a snapshot of how some of the rooms looked when almost finished setting up before visitors arrived.

The house is just about back to normal!

Huge thanks go to all the lovely customers who visited and purchased and made it all worthwhile. Let's see if I am brave enough to do it again this year....

Sneak Preview...

Amost finished dressing the house and transforming it into my pop up shop for the weekend ~ here are some 'preview' photos ~ still more stock to put out!

Looking forward to...

...my next Vintage Christmas Boutique, a petite festive event held in my own home where I can welcome customers old and new ~ a chance to talk 'vintage' with like minded souls over a cup of hot chocolate.

I have created some gorgeous (though I say it myself) new designs for Christmas, one~off special pieces, plus an array of carefully selected gifts and decorations from those whose work I admire and definitely not available on the high street!

Our cottage will be decorated for Christmas ~ my favourite time of the year; the fires will be lit, fairy lights on, cookies baking in the Aga, surrounded by vintage loveliness....

The very first 'Vintage Summer Boutique'...

I am pleased to announce that following the success of my first open house sale last December I shall be hosting 'The Vintage Summer Boutique' In June.

A petite summer garden party style affair (weather permitting!) in a country cottage setting.   Again, I shall be offering a selection of original vintage, antique and retro goods, alongside handmade treasures and carefully selected items with a vintage theme.  Textiles, linens, haberdashery, fashion, furniture and more...

I shall also be joined by a small gathering of like~minded souls selling their gorgeous wares...watch this space for more details.

I hope to make the occasion just a little bit different from the usual larger fairs ~  a bit like an old fashioned village fete where you can stroll around my cottage garden (hopefully the roses will be at their best) enjoy tea and cake and talk 'vintage' to your heart's content.

Thank you so much...

To all the lovely customers who visited my home...

Despite the weather some very brave souls made the trip and I so appreciate it! I had a thoroughly lovely time meeting you all and making my home as welcoming as I could ~ I felt quite sad when I had to dismantle my temporary Christmas 'store'.

I promised some photos for those who were unable to make it...

I am planning to make this an annual event ~ watch this space for next year's date to be announced!

A sneak preview...

We are lucky with the weather here ~ very cold with just an icing sugar like dusting of snow on the rooftops. The roads here are clear and I've checked weather and local reports ~ so business as usual!

I fear that some of my lovely friends further north might not make it this time though...keep warm!

Stocking the shelves...

I always find estimating the amount of stock needed for any vintage fair hard enough, but when I decided to host an event in my own home I didn't realise that this task would be near impossible! So, I have been sourcing a variety of unique, handmade and vintage pieces that I hope will look festive & interesting when displayed together. The shelves in my workroom are filling up...

I really wanted to find some unusual and beautiful items that are not usually found on the high street ~ otherwise what would be the point of the 'Vintage Christmas Boutique'?

These lovely glass Christmas trees are handmade in the Czech Republic and sparkle like mad!

Vintage glass and silver plated candlesticks...

Sitting happily alongside all of the vintage and antique pieces will be some gorgeous handmade goods and a selection from Jeanne d'Arc Living, including their fabulous magazine! More of which later...
